You are on the search for a wedding photographer. You like the natural looking photos of guests mingling, everyone having an awesome time, and the couple looking so happy and in love. But you feel a little nervous about having your photo taken and so you want someone that can put you at ease in front of the camera. This is what I do. My style of wedding photography. This is what I love.
Having photos taken professionally isn’t something done very often, or this may even be the first time you will have this done together. So it is natural for you to feel a little anxious about it as this is something completely alien to you. And that’s okay. It is my job to guide you through it. Each of my couples always tell me the same thing. That they are not natural in front of the camera and feel awkward about it. Feel the same way? I do too. I don’t like having my photo taken either, so that is why I completely understand where you’re coming from. And why I will make it as simple as possible for you.
Your wedding will be such an important day for you. You want a wedding photographer you can trust, that has the experience and knowhow of a wedding. I have been a Hertfordshire wedding photographer shooting weddings since 2010. I also have a BA (Hons), a Foundation Degree and various other qualifications in photography.
You want your wedding to be all about you, your love and your personalities. As unique as you are. You want someone that gets that, and knows how important it is to get that in the photos. You want someone that will just blend in with your guests so they can be photographed unaware, and photograph the laughter, the fun, the tears, the emotion, the atmosphere of your wedding day.
Being very sentimental, I like to keep things that are meaningful to me, like cinema stubs from the last Harry Potter movie and the first anniversary card Dan gave me. Do you do the same? There’s just something about holding onto something that will allow you to recall certain memories. Which is why I will photograph what some might consider the mundane, such as the breakfast table or shoes scattered on the floor, as well as the main elements of a wedding day. These all make up a part of a story. And that is why I love being a wedding photographer. Photography is such a powerful medium, it can transport you back to that day and allow you to remember all the little details and how you felt.
You love being creative; you have so many ideas for your wedding day. Maybe you are even doing some DIY for it. As a fun couple, you love having date nights, going to the movies or to a gig, though you may not do it as often as you like. You don’t want cheesy photos. You want some formal photos with your family and bridal party, but you mainly want candid photos of your loved ones. And you want your wedding photography to be creative, natural and fun.
