My first wedding of 2017 is this North Middlesex Cricket Club wedding. Roberta and Nik were originally planning on getting married in April, but with news of Roberta expecting, they brought their wedding forward to January. With winter weddings, it is always a bit hit and miss with the weather. Most couples expect the weather to not be great. But Roberta and Nik were so lucky. The sun shone brightly and the light was stunning and that makes me one happy photographer.
Roberta and Nik had a small wedding. Family and friends joined them in their celebrations. Their wedding ceremony was late in the afternoon, so the couple opted to have a first look. A first look is when the couple see each other before their wedding ceremony. Great for winter weddings when light and time is against us as it gets darker much earlier. It is also popular if you would like to have photos of when you first see one another to get that first reaction. It’s a lovely private moment between the two of you.
Roberta’s Catherine Deane wedding dress was stunning. Her look was finished with a flower crown made up of gypsophila. Georgia’s Cakes made their wedding cake. Covered in fruit, macarons, flowers and dripping chocolate, it looked incredible. A masterpiece of cake that you don’t really want to cut into! The wedding was full of dancing. Such a joyous occasion at this North Middlesex Cricket Club wedding.
