Today’s wedding is a special one as the bride and groom are my sister and brother in law. And they were married in one of my most favourites places in the world: Cornwall.
Sarah and Jay were married back in March and had the most amazing weather considering the time of year we were in for their Cornwall beach wedding. I started off the day with Sarah at her home in Par, Cornwall. My nieces were with her before their grandparents took them out for a little while so she could concentrate on getting ready. Her friend helped her into her Mori Lee wedding dress before she was picked up by a gorgeous campervan by the name of Lilly from The Cornwall Camper Company.
After an emotional ceremony held at Bodmin Registry Office, we headed down to Polkerris to the Rashleigh Inn where they held their wedding reception. It is in the most amazing location, with a beach right outside and a stunning view of the sea. The children were given buckets and spades as wedding favours to go play in the sand whilst the adults were able to sit outside on the balcony to enjoy a cold drink and take in the beautiful scenery. The wedding favours were keyrings of Cornish pasties with each guest’s name printed on.
During the course of the day, I did portraits of the two of them with the campervan, and on the beach. When you have a wedding by the beach, you have to go onto the beach for photographs. We were also able to capture a few photographs during golden hour on the balcony of the pub. They were so lucky with the weather and beautiful light. It was an absolutely perfect day for a Cornwall beach wedding.
These are some of my favourite shots from the day.
