Best Wedding Photography 2018

My best wedding photography 2018.

2018. What a year you was! I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the UK to photograph weddings this year. Including all the way up to Scarborough! That’s pretty far from home. I’ve shot weddings in a conservatory, a funfair museum, a crypt, a vineyard, and a quirky unique Thai restaurant with unicorn and zebra mounts included.

Highlights of 2018

  • Crying behind my camera as one of my brides walked down the aisle to Concerning Hobbits
  • Getting my own custom made wand as a wedding favour. I actually have two as the couple gifted me one before the wedding as well
  • A groom playing with his band in the evening
  • Turned up for a wedding ceremony with the bride 40 minutes early. We then had to wait for 2 other weddings to be done before we could even get in the waiting room
  • Doing group shots where a stubborn old man would not move from his seat reading his newspaper
  • Shot a Nigerian wedding that started on time
  • Cleaning a wedding dress (with bride still in it) that a dog weed on after getting excited to see his mummy
  • Made the top 100 UK wedding photographers on Your Perfect Wedding Photographer
  • The moment two guests turned up late at a wedding ceremony as the registrar asked if anyone objected to the wedding
  • A random lady that joined a group shot I was doing outside a church so her husband could get a photo of her with it (still baffles me to this day!)
  • Cooling a bride down by fanning a box of Crunchy Nuts at her
  • Shot at a couple of my bucket list wedding venues
  • Second shoot a wedding where the bride was captain of one of the netball teams in the Vitality Netball Superleague!
  • Shot my first Vedic wedding ceremony
  • Shot a wedding where the ceremony music was from The Legend of Zelda and I happened to be wearing my Zelda scarf
  • Riding the tube at rush hour with the whole wedding party of 80 from ceremony to reception
  • Playing Goldeneye on the N64 after I had finished working at a wedding – I could not remember the controls at all so died
  • Helping another photographer onto the top of a pick up truck to get the everybody group shot
  • Shooting weddings for couples who were guests at previous weddings I’ve shot. It’s always really lovely to be able to catch up with past couples and guests. Feels like a reunion
  • 2018 was a fab year, but I’m so excited to get 2019’s wedding season going. I’ve got some amazing couples and weddings booked in for this year.

Here are some of my favourite photographs from 2018.
