Hi! Thank you so much for taking a look at my website!
My name is Clare Tam-Im and I’m often found either giving my children Emmie and Myles cuddles, rolling my eyes at my fiancé Dan or behind the camera.
Little things to know about me:
~ My surname is from Mauritius, which is where my dad was born and raised
~ Cornwall is my home away from home. We visit once a year as I use to when I was younger to visit my gran
~ Though I’m 30 this year (eek!), I look more like I’m 18!
~ Also I have one of those faces where you think you know me from somewhere… I’m not a stalker, I promise!
~ I’m not a fan of tea or coffee as I’m weird like that
~ I’m a Cancerian, and a true one at that
~ I love music, reading and travelling as much as I love photography
~ Some describe me as a big kid at heart, and a bit of a geek when it comes to books, games and films
~ After giving birth to my son, we attended a wedding 8 hours later. Here’s our first family photo below taken by the wedding photographer that evening when Myles was about 14 hours old. Everyone thought I was crazy for attending… I probably was! But Emmie was a bridesmaid and I couldn’t miss that!
So that’s me, but what about my photography?
My photography business started in 2010, which was originally named CTI Photography. Kind of boring sounding right? So come 2014, I gave my business a new lick of paint and now go by Clare Tam-Im Photography. Ahh much better; much more me! During my time so far as a wedding photographer, I’ve been featured in wedding magazines and wedding blogs which I have been so thankful and excited about. You can find out more about that here.
I studied photography and have a Foundation Degree and a BA Hons both in Photography. But I’ve been doing photography for as long as I can remember. Yes I was that kid at school who had a camera photographing everyone in class. My dad gave me lots of film cameras and equipment, which then led me to go to college to do black and white analogue photography as well. And mixing my love of photography and music, I use to go down to gigs and photograph bands playing. I just always wanted to be a photographer. And now I am! I’m constantly looking to improve myself and learn new skills, so I still go to workshops and training to learn as much as I can. I love to learn!
